Chiara is an Edinburgh native, born and raised in Craiglockhart, where she had the joy of living close to the beautiful Braid Hills area, which sees an abundance of wild gorse grow each Spring. Perhaps, even in her early years, taking morning walks with her father as a small child, subconsciously, The Dark Island Soap Co. was already calling… Now residing in the beautiful Stirlingshire countryside with her young family, partner and Labrador, “Tag,” she enjoys foraging close to her home with an abundance of nature and woodland close by. As an avid herbalist, Chiara understands and appreciates the wonderfully healing power of nature, and, just like her award-winning botanical and herbal infusions are as the seasons, slowly created, she appreciates that everything blooms in its own time.
